When our members click through from our site to the sites of advertisers promoted within our site, we are acting as an advertising agent. In return for this, the advertisers (and their agencies) pay us a commission. The commission amounts and criteria on which they are paid vary.
We pass on, at our discretion, some of our commission to our members, which we call ‘cashback.’ This pages sets out the terms and conditions of using and joining our site to find products and services to qualify for cashback.
moneydog (referred to our ‘the site’ or ‘our site’ below) is owned and operated by SDO Media Ltd (referred to as 'we' or 'us' below).
By joining and entering our site, you as a user (referred to as 'you' below) are accepting our terms and conditions.
Site Membership & Account Terms
Your membership is free and there is no obligation to purchase any products or services from us or our advertisers.
One account is allowed per person. We reserve the right to refuse membership at our discretion.
We are happy for you to make the occasional transaction on behalf of family or friends. This is subject to fair usage and one account should not be used to make regular purchases on behalf of other people.
Be aware that if you purchase something from an advertiser site for a friend, you must still use the email registered with us or we cannot track the purchase to award you any cashback. If the other contact details given to an advertiser do not match those provided to us (including but not limited to name, telephone number or billing address post code) then we may require you to provide further proof that a purchase was yours and that cashback should be paid to your account.
If we believe you are using the site to make purchases for many people on a regular basis, or in the event of fraudulent, abusive or other activity we determine to be unfair or unreasonable, we can cancel your account at our discretion.
As a condition of membership, you must accept emails and texts from our website and message system.
You will be signed up to receive emails from us which may include offers, deals, vouchers, news and updates to our terms. You can control your email settings and opt out of all but service and terms update emails from within your account area.
We reserve the right to terminate a member's account if a valid and serviceable email address is not provided and also if that member marks our emails as abusive, junk or spam.
If you have joined via referral link sent to you by a friend, then the referrer (your friend) will be able to see some information about your account, including your user name and total spend (on which they can earn cashback).
You can earn more cashback by recommending friends and will be able to see the same information about the friends you introduce.
You can cancel your membership and close your account at any time. You can do this by clicking in your account area.
Your account may be disabled if it is deemed to be dormant or your contact details, in particular your email, appear unservicable. We reserve the right to terminate dormant accounts. In order to keep an account active and ensure it doesn't get marked as dormant, we require you to log in to your account at least once every 3 months.
As a member you may earn 'cashback' from us when you make a purchase from an advertiser on our site, provided you have clicked through to the advertiser from a trackable link or button on our site.
Be aware that tansactions you make are not with us, but with the individual advertiser. We pass on part of the commission we earn from advertisers and their tracking agencies for your applicable transactions, where the credit can be linked directly to your account by means of an identification tag, pixel or cookie provided by the advertisers and their tracking agencies.
If a tag, pixel or cookie fails to track, and you do not receive cashback you hoped for when making a purchase, you can send us a message via your account area and we will at our discretion try to manually track purchases based on certain information about the purchase that we will ask for at the time.
We will endeavour to recover non-payouts from the retailer, but our decision to not pay a cashback reward or stop trying to track or recover a non-payout is final.
Cashback offered to our members may vary from commission received by us based on terms and conditions imposed by individual retailers and their agents, or for any other reason at our discretion.
The gross commission is the amount we receive from our advertisers. There are marketing, administrative, legal and banking charges incurred by moneydog on this income, that is deducted from the gross commission to calculate the net commission, a percentage of which is provided to members as cashback at moneydog’s discretion. Members receive a minimum of 50% of the net commission, up to 130% of the net commission depending on the member’s purchase history and moneydog promotions.
Any net commission we earn on an individual purchase you make must equate to £0.05 or more for cashback to be applied to your account. Some low value transactions may not therefore be eligible for a cashback bonus.
From time to time our advertisers may increase or decrease the gross commission paid in which case the cashback offer illustrated on our site may be incorrect. We take reasonable care to ensure that the data provided on our site is accurate and up to date. However, we give no warranty of the accuracy of any information on the site and do not accept liability for any errors or omissions, neither do we accept liability for any resulting damage or loss.
Further, we take reasonable care and skill to ensure the correct functionality of the website, however we give no warranty of the functionality and do not accept liability for any errors.
By default, your applicable transactions will be credited in line with the gross commission reported to us by the advertiser, which may be more or less than the advertised rate.
Some advertisers pay gross commission on the purchase amount inclusive of tax and/or delivery charges and some advertisers exclude these amounts for the purpose of calculating commission. Your cashback is based on the commission, so will be affected by these factors.
When we have linked a completed transaction to your account, this will show in your account as 'pending'.Once the advertiser pays commission on the transaction, the payout will set to 'available'. This can take 90 days or more from the date of the purchase, but is usually quicker. If the goods are returned or the sale cancelled or amended in any way, then the cashback payout will not be made.
Certain repeat purchases or registrations made on advertiser sites may not qualify for cashback.
Advertisers have their own rules upon which they determine transactions to be genuine, i.e. An attempt to simply earn money by clicking/registering with no intention to continue to use/buy from their website could be deemed as non-genuine. These rules may or may not be advertised by ourselves or the merchant and may be discretionary.
We cannot be held responsible if the advertiser fails to report your sale to us.
To minimise the chances of purchases not qualifying, you must complete your transaction after clicking directly through to the advertiser from whom you wish to purchase (not via any other third party sites) from our website buttons and purchases must then be completed immediately and wholly online.
If your account is terminated or disabled for any reason, then your cashback will be forfeited and any further transactions which might otherwise become credited to your account will not be deemed to be applicable.
We reserve the right to reclaim or make balance adjustments accordingly where it has been established that any credit has been applied in error. This will include but is not limited to transactions where the credit is not genuinely due or payout for any credited transaction has not been received from an advertiser or its agencies.
This can include transactions which are already marked as Payable in your account, or for transactions which have already been paid to you.We reserve the right to apply fraudulent prevention measures as we see fit.
Cashback to you as a result of your friends signing up via our ‘Recommend A Friend’ links and forms will only be paid for genuine signups where the friend makes genuine purchases from our advertisers. Cashback amounts will vary based on your friends’ activity. Multiple accounts created for use by the same person or any fraudulent signups will result in termination of your account. The criteria used to determine cashback for recommending friends may be adjusted at any time.
Using a voucher code (or discount code or coupon code) will invalidate any cashback claim.
Price match guarantee does not guarantee to match any prices that are subject to a special promotion or discount. Related cashback will be paid at our sole discretion. You may be asked to purchase the product or service being price matched via a specific link in order to be eligible. We do not guarantee that our price match offer will be from the same brand, or identical in every way, but will endeavour to offer you a similar suitable alternative at the same or a better price.
For the avoidance of doubt and notwithstanding any other provision of this Agreement or the Website, you agree that in all circumstances payout of Cashback is at our sole discretion and further we may refuse to make payout of Cashback to you for any reason.
Cashback payouts will be issued at your request. You will be able to request a cashback payout once you have any payable funds in your account.
Commission payouts received by ourselves are held as our funds until such time as they are sent in the form of cashback to our members. Once a payout has been made there may be a small period before you can request your next payout.
Should an advertiser delay payout or cease trading then we will make every reasonable effort to recover your cashback but we can make no guarantees to payout until funds have been received from the advertiser or their agents.
Individual payout methods may be limited or withdrawn on a discretionary basis to ensure only UK payout transactions are made as per our membership terms.
Payout details must be kept accurate by yourself to avoid losing any due payouts. Payouts made to incorrect destinations are not always recoverable and may be subject to a recovery fee. We will not be held liable for any delays, or consequences of delays in payout.
At any point we reserve the right to put payout requests on hold pending any investigation, this may be the case where unusual account activity is detected and verification is therefore required in order to deem the transactions as genuine.
